Privacy Policy

SimpleAI ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use simpleai.club, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Account registration: your name and email address when you create an account
- Newsletter sign-up: your email address if you subscribe to updates
- Email correspondence: any information you include when contacting us
Information collected automatically:
- Usage data: pages visited, time spent, links clicked (via analytics)
- Device information: browser type, operating system, screen size
- IP address: used for analytics and security purposes
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain your account and the Site's features
- Send you newsletters and product updates you have opted into
- Respond to your enquiries and support requests
- Analyse Site usage to improve content and user experience
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data to train AI models.
3. Quiz Data
Your quiz answers are used to generate your persona result. If you are signed in, your result is stored against your account so you can view it later. If you take the quiz without an account, results are stored temporarily in your browser only.
We may use anonymised, aggregated quiz data — with no personally identifying information — to understand broad patterns in how people use AI. For example, to understand how AI adoption varies across different working styles or levels of experience. We will never share or publish individual quiz results without your explicit consent.
4. Payment Data
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number or payment credentials on our servers. Stripe handles all payment processing and is PCI-compliant. We receive confirmation of a successful payment and store a reference to that transaction in your account record. See Stripe's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle payment data.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the Site:
- Firebase (Google): user authentication and account storage. Privacy policy
- Stripe: secure payment processing. Privacy policy
- Resend: transactional and newsletter email delivery. Privacy policy
- Vercel: website hosting and infrastructure. Privacy policy
Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing their handling of your data. We recommend reviewing their policies.
6. Analytics
We use analytics software to understand how visitors use the Site, which content is most useful, and how to improve the experience. This software collects anonymised data including: pages visited, time spent on pages, general geographic region (country or city level), and device type. It does not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifying information, and is not used to build advertising profiles.
We do not sell analytics data to third parties. You can opt out by disabling JavaScript or using a browser extension that blocks analytics scripts.
7. Cookies
The Site uses cookies or similar technologies to maintain session state (keeping you signed in), remember your preferences, and support analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features of the Site may not function correctly as a result.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data (name, email, quiz results, and purchase records) is removed from our active systems within 30 days. Anonymised data that cannot be linked back to you may be retained for research and product improvement purposes.
Newsletter subscribers can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send. Your email will be removed from our mailing list promptly.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
- Data portability (receive your data in a structured format)
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us directly. We will respond within 30 days.
10. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
