We've done the research.
You get straight to the useful part.

SimpleAI is a free, plain-English guide to AI tools — written for people who want to use AI at work, not study it. No jargon. No hype. Just honest, practical guidance.

We read the docs, test the tools, and distil everything into clear guides with real examples. So you can go from “I've heard of this” to actually using it in under 10 minutes.

Why we built this

In 2023, the number of AI tools exploded from a handful of research demos to hundreds of products launching every week. For developers and researchers, this was exciting. For everyone else, it was overwhelming.

A doctor wanting to summarise patient notes, a café owner trying to write better social posts, an architect exploring how AI could help with client presentations. They all had the same problem: there was nowhere that explained what these tools actually did, which ones were worth trying, and how to get started without a technical background.

SimpleAI is the resource we wished existed. Every guide is written to answer one question: "Can someone with no coding background use this to get real work done?" If the answer is yes, we explain exactly how.

How we work

Plain English, always

Every guide is written for someone who has never touched a terminal. No jargon, no assumed knowledge. If we can't explain it simply, we don't publish it.

Honest recommendations

We cover every major tool, not just the ones with affiliate deals. Pros and cons are real, sourced from actual usage. We call out limitations directly.

Built for non-technical people

Doctors, architects, café owners, HR teams. Not developers. We show how AI saves time in your specific job, with concrete examples.

What we cover

We cover every major AI category: conversational AI (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini), image generation, video, music, voice cloning, coding assistants, local AI, agents, automation, research tools, and the infrastructure layer underneath it all.

Each tool gets a full guide with a plain-English overview, step-by-step setup, real use cases by profession, honest pros and cons, and links to related tools. We also maintain a timeline of major AI releases so you can keep up without following dozens of Twitter accounts.
